“Thanks, thought it might help us get an idea of what we are looking at. We have this whole room to set up to figure this out,” he said in way of an explanation. She nodded and placed the box down with the food and started to pull out carton after carton of the white Chinese takeout containers. Damn, she got a ton, and he was glad he had a weird weakness for Chinese food while Chance being the man-child, as he joked about him, loved pizza. Walking over, he helped her pull out some things and set out chopsticks and drinks. Looks like she stock piled various caffeinated drinks, including energy drinks.

“So I brought just about everything, but no plates, I’m not used to using them, but if you want I can go find some.” She looked at him, instead of Chance, who was already eating an egg roll looking at both of them. “Okay, no plates, cool,” she said, grabbing a container and opening it. She had selected a chicken dish while he found the Lo Mein. They ate and drank in silence for a minute. Soon she set her container down and pulled out a file from her bag.

“Coffee ran the specks on your guy, and he is on the up and up. Nothing odd, no criminal record, not even a parking ticket. I would’ve thought he had someone clean his record, but he does have a few issues with his building where he filed suits against the people next to him. Showed they tried to run him out of business by spreading rumors of illegal activities. Other than that, he came out fine in the case. He honestly is just a super car guy to the extreme,” Brandie said as she leaned over and took some of his noodles from his box with her chopsticks and placed it in her mouth. He watched as she closed her eyes when the noddle went into her mouth and she sucked in the small ones that where left hanging with a slurp. The movement of her sucking along with the sound almost had him coming in his pants like a horny struck teen. Shaking his head, he looked over at Chance who had his mouth open looking at her.

She opened her eyes and looked at them. “What?” she asked them questioningly.

“Dude, that was so fucking hot,” Chance blurted out. Dylan wanted to smack him, but the truth was, it was. He couldn't remember a time with a woman that eating had had such an effect on him. She was sexy as hell and didn’t even know it.

“What, me eating? Umm…okay, you have issues there, Thing One,” she said as she laughed. Dylan cleared his throat and shifted in his seat before speaking.

“Okay, well there goes the only lead we might have had. Did you find anything out today?”

“Well, I did stop by a friend’s today and found some big time guy has been meeting with some younger guys. He didn’t get to hear what they discussed, but the dudes in suits come with very big protection. As in, he has his own guard and shit. So maybe I can go one night and see if I can get in with them or something.”

Dylan suddenly felt the urge to shake her and ask her who “he” was, but went against that instant. He also didn’t think her going undercover was a good idea either.

“Umm…I don’t think so,” Chance said before he could say anything else. “Glad you got the information, but Dylan and I can go and find out what’s going on. Just give us the information and we can set something up.”

“I don’t think so. You look too much like a cop, Chance, sorry but it’s true. You would be spotted and this place isn’t like a normal bar where you can walk in and order a drink. It is run-down and off the beaten path. So I will go and play nice and see what happens. I don’t need your permission for this, I’m just letting you know what is going to happen so you aren’t worried when I check in.”

“I don’t like it, Bubbles, not at all. I think you need someone with you. Fine, I look like a cop, but what about Dylan, he has a bike, and I’m sure if he doesn’t shave, he will blend right in.” Dylan thought about Chance's words and instantly thought that it was a great idea. Brandie looked at him, then back at Chance, and then back at him.

“Well, out of the two, you are more cookie cutter, playful type, while you, Thing Two, are more rugged and the grumpier one. So maybe we can work with that. I’ll talk to my guy and then I'm thinking the two of you and I have some planning to do. What type of bike do you ride?”

The three of them went over more specifics about the case and what he was to wear there. It was decided they would make appearances at the bar, and slowly become regulars, so people didn’t suddenly get suspicious of them. While her and Dylan did that, her and Chance would go car shopping for high-end cars. Between the two maybe they could find something out. About three in the morning Brandie seemed restless, and since they no longer were working on set hours they called it quits and would start up bright and early tomorrow. They would meet at the small coffee shop they had sat at just only yesterday morning. She waited until they both changed, which the guys were glad they didn’t need to wear uniforms for the next couple of days. The three of them then filled the chief in as to their progress and he was happy he finally had something to report to the Mayor. They walked her to her car, and watched her drive away.

“You think this is gonna work?” Chance asked him.

“Not sure, but one thing for sure is that we are finally getting somewhere with the case—and her.” Chance laughed and for once he did to. They got in the truck and headed home.

  Chapter Five

They sat at the same table in Shileen Sweets and Coffee, eating the same breakfast they had the previous day, except Dylan already had her coffee ready to go just the way she liked it. She smiled at him as she drank it. Dylan and he always paid attention to the woman they were with. She was wearing jeans today with a soft colored shirt that showed off her perky breasts. Her hair was up in a ponytail that seemed to be her normal style.

“So here is the game plan. Chance and I will play the stupidly rich people looking for a car for my birthday present or something. And then tonight I will put on my hooker heels and be the arm candy to Dylan here while he gets our drink on. Sound like fun?” she said a little to chipper. Chance was fine with playing the happy perky uptight rich boyfriend, maybe he could steal a kiss or two. Yeah, he liked that idea more and more.

“Okay then, Bubbles, so do you have a list of places you want to check out?” He finished drinking his coffee ready to get the day started.

“Well first, Thing One, we need to change to look the part. Do you have a suit at all? Like a nice tailored one, if not let me know and Rainbow can get one for you.”

“I got one, but I am going with the whole jeans and dress shirt look. If I come in a full suit I will look too much like I am trying to blend in. But I have everything in the truck. Do you want to change to?”

“Yup, we can head to my place so I can change, I have a spare room where you can change, and so can Dylan for tonight. That way we can sit and talk about everything that happens. So let’s head out. Follow me.” Bubbles got up and the three of them left the coffee shop and soon they headed to her small apartment.

As soon as they walked in, Brandie knew she should have cleaned, but she at least did put drinks in the fridge and bought some lunch meat. Setting her keys on the small table by the door, she pointed to each section, “Living room, kitchen, and bathroom is in the hall. Here is the other room, and mine is last one. I will be a minute and then we can leave.” She headed into her room quickly, shutting the door after realizing she forgot to make the bed. Damn it, she was such a slob. Laughing to herself, she looked for her small dress that was a designer she needed for special events. Pulling the olive green dress out, she smiled and was happy that it would work just fine for this. It wasn’t super flashy if she paired it with simple heels, and a small handbag. The dress was form fitting on the top, but had a small flair to create a curved figure that she really didn’t have. Once her black pumps where on, she let her hair down and clipped the front back. Now she looked trendy for the upscale people. She put some mascara on, along with a sparkly glitter eye shadow, and lip gloss. Looking in the mirror, she was shocked at how much she could look like a girly girl. She was a jeans type of person, and tonight would be worse with her outfit.

Leaving the room, she was shocked when she walked into the living room to find Chance had shaved, combed his hair, and was wearing a pale blue, button up shirt followed by a dark blue, stripped tie that matched his Navy sports coat. He looked amazing, and definitely like he was from money. He smiled when he saw her, and she felt a blush cross her face as she walked further into the room.

“Wow, you look amazing, Bubbles. Like hot, really hot.” She smiled, looked down, and felt herself blush. She knew she could be attractive, but for some weird reason when either one of them said it, it meant so much more. Chance walked over and kissed her cheek and Dylan kept staring at her, eyeing her up and down, lingering on her breasts longer than normal. Wanting to break the ice, she wrapped her arm around Chance and smiled at him. “So what do you think? Do we look like a rich couple looking for a car?” The question seemed to snap him out of whatever daze he was in, and he nodded.

“Yeah, that will work. So you two will be back by what, five, then we can all eat dinner, and change into your next outfit. I’ll make sure my bike is here, and I’ll have dinner ready. Brandie, do you have a spare key or anything I can use?” She thought about it for a second, and by them making her apartment a main hub for them to work while undercover, might just help. She didn’t need to have people see her going in and out of the police station. The men could do that while each of them where out with her. It could work, and hell, she could be professional, she just needed to check in with Coffee and the girls before she went out anywhere.

“Okay, sounds good, give me a minute to check in with the girls, and I have a spare key in the back,” she said and turned on her heels as she headed back into her room already pulling her phone open. She hit the number to Coffee, knowing if she said anything to Rainbow, she would want an update on their favorite sexual position while Smokey Eyes would want to know if she took them for a test ride. She swore she was the only one that was not sexually in tune with her body. Well, no, she had to take that back. Ever since she met Dylan and Chance she felt her non-existing libido come back to life, and she seriously wondered if she could hold out if they did something to hit her sex switch. If not, her batteries were still good in her trusted friend.

Chance couldn’t believe his luck when he got this assignment. Yes, he was an officer of the law, but hell, his undercover partner was a bombshell, and he couldn't help but feel the need to see if this connection could be something more. Before he got the chance to ask Dylan what he thought about her, and what he meant by that was what he thought about her in an intimate fashion, she returned. He watched as Brandie handed Dylan a key and grabbed her purse before turning to him waiting for him to come.

As soon as they got outside, he was shocked at what he saw. It was a large SUV with tinted window and a driver stood outside waiting for them. He turned and looked at her. She shrugged her shoulders, “We helped a client out once, and he owed me a favor, so I called it in. We wanted to look like we were interested in them for real. We have him all day for the rest of the week, after that you better start paying.” She laughed before the driver opened the door and she crawled in and he followed her.

The SUV was dark and secluded and for once he felt like someone, and not just a small town cop. He reached over and took Bubbles’s hand. “So how are we going to do this, girlfriend, wife, lover, what is the best way to get into these people?”

He watched as her expression changed thinking about what he said and shaking her head she said, “Umm, I think maybe a dating couple. You’re too young to have a lover, and no ring for a wife, so the girlfriend aspect looks better. We can rub elbows with these people, it can land us an invite to some the upper-class parties. So play nice.” She smiled.

The drive only took about twenty minutes before they pulled into a specialty car dealership that also participated in large auctions for expensive and exclusive cars. The driver opened his door and Chance climbed out, before reaching his hand out to help Bubbles out of the car. She grabbed his hand and as soon as she was out he tucked her hand into his elbow and walked into the building. He was surprised at how many people were inside, and several men in suits rushed to open the door of the building.

The building was two stories, with several glass windows facing the outside, making it look like a normal car dealership. As soon as they entered the building a man, who looked like he could be a manager, reached his hand out.

“Welcome to Rockledge’s most exclusive car dealership. I am Richard Peters, manager. Is there anything I can help you with…”

“Dustin, Dustin Hughes,” he finished his sentence.

“How can I help you today, Mr. Hughes?”

“Well, Richard, I’m looking for a car for my girl here. She wanted something special for her birthday. Would you be able to do something like that, or is there somewhere else we need to look?”

Mr. Peters looked at both of them, and in a calculated move he wrapped his arm around Bubbles’s waist pulling her closer to him as she placed her hand on his chest, looking up at him and smiling. She was good, he had to give her that.

“No, no sir, we can help you here. So Ms., what type of car are you looking for?”

“Please call me, Willow, and to be honest, Mr. Peters, I am not sure. I want something different, not your everyday type of car. Oh…and something fast,” she said with a hint of glee in her voice.

“So exclusive and fast. We have so many on our show floor, do any of those catch your interest?” he said as he waved his arm around the showroom floor at various cars that were set on display. Chance watched as she looked around and shook her head.

“No, not really, they are the newer models, you don’t happen to have anything classic, would you?”

“Oh, I am sorry we don’t.” He watched as she put on a ridiculous pouty face and looked up at him.

“Baby, I don’t see anything, maybe we should look somewhere else?” He couldn't help it, he leaned down and kissed her softly on the lips trying to get rid of that sad face.

“It’s okay, sweetheart, we can keep looking. Let's head out. Thanks for your help, Mr. Peters.” He nodded to the manager and turned to leave. He knew the manager had an auction, but only the select few got asked to come.

“Wait, wait.” The manager lowered his voice just slightly, “We do have an auction, but only a few select people can come. It's next week, in the evening. We have classic cars that might cater to your taste.” Bubbles smiled and looked at him expectantly.

“That sounds great, we’ll be here.” He took the information that Mr. Peters wrote on a business card for him and tucked into his suit pocket. “Come on, sweetheart, let's get something to eat.” They both thanked the manager and left. The driver, whom he had yet to find out his name, opened the door for them. Once inside Bubbles burst out laughing.

“Well that went better than I thought. We now have one stop down and a few more places to go, mostly country clubs, and yes, I got us in. Thanks to my fabulous lawyer who has the most amazing connections. So lunch is on him.” She laughed as she looked out the window.

Again the drive to the country club from the dealership was only a half hour and they both sat in silence, but she wondered if he noticed they both were still holding hands. She personally didn’t mind, but wondered if he was playing the part for her, or if he generally was interested in her. She already knew Dylan liked her body, but didn’t know if he thought about her more than that. He was the dark brooding type, where Chance was the fun loving, playful kind. Between them, she was the calm. Being between them in the bed, between the sheets, one under her, one behind would be awesome. Shaking her head, she tried to clear her thought as she felt her body flush at the way her mind was wondering. She rubbed her legs together to try to ease some of the ache, which started to form from thinking of her two men. Wait, what…her men. No, not hers, just two men, helping on a case. A case that would cause them all to spend time together.

Her thoughts were cut off when the car stopped outside a large white building
with people bustling about. A large golf course stood out to the right of the parking area. While the other had a small parking area that was reserved for those who valeted their vehicles. She hated to admit it, but she had never been to places like these before. Normally when she spoke with clients who were wealthy, she would met them at their estate, or simply at a restaurant. Well, that is if she needed to meet with them. Most of the time Zach handled the day to day things. He liked to joke that he was better than Charlie, because he had four angels instead of three.

The door opened again stopping her thoughts, and she followed Chance out as he held out his hand. Except this time instead of putting her hand in his elbow, he pulled her close wrapping his arm possessively around her. She would have said maybe he was going overboard, but maybe she was not going far enough. So she rested her head against him as they walked up the stairs and into the large waiting area. She wasn’t quite sure where to go, but Chance seemed to know she was hesitant, so he took the lead. “This way, baby,” he whispered in her ear, and it sent delicious shivers down her spine as they walked down a large hallway ending at French doors that allowed access to a restaurant for the Rockledge’s rich and elite. A gentleman in a tailored suit opened the doors to grant them access. Once inside a small podium stood blocking them from passing further. A woman wearing an all-black cocktail dress smiled at them. First she glanced at her, then her eyes roamed over Chance, and Brandie felt an urge to tell her to back the fuck off. Before the woman with wondering eyes could ask for a name, Chance blurted out Zach’s names and the woman shook off her roaming eyes and checked the list. She nodded without a word and soon both of them were sitting outside on a small balcony looking over the green of the golf course and waterfront. It was a nice sight, but she personally didn’t need all the drama that came with a seat like this. The woman left as soon as they sat.
